I've used Linux before but only for testing purposes. After I bought the Buffalo NAS which now runs Debian 24/7, I've been very eager to switch my work environment to Linux. Ubuntu seems like a nice ready package but I think I'll just install minimal Debian and build up from that. It's a good way to learn more about Linux ;) . Last time I looked at the hardware front, SATA was a new thing. I didn't even know that SATA 2 was already in use. It seems there is some controversy over this drive series. To be fair, the 300mb/s is very theoretical. The real speed increase isn't at all something to brag about. Not for average usage anyway. Anywho, looking forward to your future releases of CE.
