Slowly starting work again. For the past two weeks I’ve been working with some fresh code. Last week I started to create a new framework for QuickView. My plan was to add support for plugins. It eventually developed into a more generic solution for creating plugin based applications.
In 2012, I’m going to aim my focus on CubicExplorer 2.0. Even though it’s going to be a complete rewrite, it doesn’t mean there’s not going to be any progress in CE 1.0. Current CE will be used as a testing ground for new stuff. For example, the new QuickView code I’ve been working will be implemented in there.
Next snapshot?
Not sure. Maybe next week, maybe in January. I honestly don’t know at this point. At the moment I’m on a nice track in developing some fresh ideas, don’t want to disturb that.

nice to have you back marko
ok, take your time
by the way there’s still no CE 1.0
you are at 0.95.1
Good to hear that you are making progress. Love to see each new addition.
Ok i have a problem with the AcroRd32.exe, when i have a pdf selected it goes to 50% of the processor and keeps on hogging it as long as i have CE open. It seems to never stop generating the preview for the liveview panel.
besides that i have been using CE less and less, because it crashes often while performing various tasks.
Please do sth about it if you can, you have the best file browser out there for windows. Would be a pity to loose that.
Hi Marko,
nice to see you again on track
kind regards,
Nelik
Good to hear that you are making progress. Love to see each new addition.
Good to hear from you again, and looking forward to the new material!
The main reason I still don’t use CE is because it doesn’t have Undo/Redo. I sometimes screw copying/moving, renaming, etc. I know it isn’t easy but for me is essential. Keep on the good work thumbs-up!
I just love cubic explorer. use it everyday. Happy New Year to you and thank you for creating such awesome software!
I just discovered cubic explorer and I’m already in love with it. My only feature suggestion would be adding the ability to manipulate colors easier – both the background color of the main folder window and the text color in that window. Editing those values through the default windows “Advanced Appearance” settings causes some unwanted side effects in other parts of my system…
other than that, fantastic program!
