Features
CubicExplorer uses a metaphor similar to Windows Explorer. It shows a main panel to view the directory (List panel) and others to control or enhance that main panel (Folders, Filters, Quickview, Dropstack panels).
The List Panel
Users view a representation of a directory in the List panel, which is always viewable. It displays files in the following ways:
- Icon View: Large (similar to Windows Explorer)
Displays the larger icon registered with the system and the file name.
- Icon View: Small (similar to Windows Explorer)
Displays the smaller icon registered with the system and the file name.
- List View (similar to Windows Explorer)
Displays the icon registered with the system and the file name together arranged in columns.
- Details View (similar to Windows Explorer)
Displays a table or grid showing the icon registered with the system, file name, file size, file type and file time-stamp.
- Tiles View (similar to Windows Explorer)
Displays the icon registered with the system and the file name, file size, and file type.
- Thumbnails View (similar to Windows Explorer)
Displays the thumbnail of the file rendered by the thumbnail handler registered with the system.
- Filmstrip+ View
Displays two linked sub-panels. The controlling sub-panel shows a combined Detail and Thumbnail view. The other sub-panel shows a preview of the selected file as rendered by CubicExplorer (that is, not the system). This view allows horizontal or vertical arrangement of the sub-panels with each sub-panel occupying any position.
